Racecourse News: Passo degli Inglesi downhill is back
The organizers of Adamello Ski Raid, part of the prestigious La Grande Course Circuit, are implementing a number of improvements and new features, trying to raise even more the bar of the event that in few years has achieved unexpected results.
As always, great attention is given to the racecourse with the aim of making it more diverse and technically interesting. This is why Passo degli Inglesi downhill is going to be back with two major variations.
«Once the athletes arrive to Mandrone – Mottinelli explains – they will uphill Passo Tre Denti, to be then under the top of Mandrone, they will have to face the downhill from the narrow passage below and arrive to the Lobbia. Then the athletes will have to uphill Croce del Papa and will pass on the mountain ridge that will bring them to the cannon, symbol of peace and war for the centenary celebration, and then continue with the original route up to Adamello. Furthermore, athletes will have to downhill Roccette dell’Adamello instead of uphill it like other years».
